Halloween Parade | 10/31 at 1:30 pm

Dear Jefferson Families,

On Wednesday October 31^st, Jefferson will hold its annual costume parade at 1:30 pm. Teachers will lead their classes around the perimeter of the school. Families are invited to watch the parade from Ridgewood Road, Virginia Road and Maryland Avenue.

Students will be allowed to change into their costumes in the afternoon prior to the parade. Teachers will designate a time for their classes to change into costumes based on the classroom schedule. We encourage you to minimize the complexity of the costume changes as much as possible so that students can prepare independently and efficiently.

Either prior to or following the parade, classes will have classroom celebrations which are organized by classroom captains in collaboration with teachers. We ask that only parents who have made arrangements to volunteer for the classroom celebrations join us for classroom celebrations

If you would prefer that your child not participate in the parade or classroom celebration on 10/31/2018, we ask that you notify your child’s teacher or the Jefferson main office no later than Monday, 10/29/2018. Arrangements for a fun activity unrelated to Halloween will be made for those students who will not participate in the activities that have been described.
